Jasmin Garcia-Verdin
Inspired by my love of the past, nature, and fashion, I'm a latinx illustrator with a passion for storytelling. I make warm and whimsical illustrations with an organic, hand-drawn touch and can work in various mediums and styles. I'm open to freelance opportunities in publishing, storyboarding, animation, commercial work, and general commissions.
As well as freelancing, I run an online store and have a few personal projects, like my ongoing sci-fi webcomic, Spacewarriors. I have had one piece recognized by the Society of Illustrators LA with another recently honorably mentioned by 3 x 3. I'm in the Women Who Draw directory.
Outside of art, I've lived in Mexico and New Jersey and currently reside in Los Angeles (where I was born). I majored in History, with minors in Business and Design---and have worked in all of those fields (including a museum!) On weekends I'm often backpacking California's outdoors or tabling at a local zine fest. I love to drink tea and read history books (right now it's a book on the Hundred Years War for research on Girl-Knight).

"This is the third time I have worked with Jasmin and she is so talented! Not only does she communicate regularly but she is always concerned with the satisfaction of the client. Her skills are excellent and I look forward to working with her again!"
-Melissa, Ignite English
"Jasmin is the perfect artist to work with. Professional and wildly creative. I am so grateful to her for creating a beautiful cover to my book and gorgeous interior pages too. She went above and beyond and I can't wait to work with her again...[she] is an absolute dream to work with. Very communicative, articulate, and passionate. She offered me various designs and versions and made the process more like a dance than a deadline (and my deadline was tough). I look forward to working with her again and would recommend her very highly."
-Chantel C. Lucier, author of Something New Every Day
"It was a pleasure working with Jasmin. She was super easy to work with, very efficient, and a very talented artist. I highly recommend her for your job!"
